Overview

How can we show Cambodian parents from all backgrounds, including indigenous and low-literacy families, that even without formal education themselves they can take simple actions to support their child’s learning? → By creating a national campaign that translated the roadmap of education into clear, inclusive steps. The package emphasized that every child, including those with physical or mental disabilities, deserves access to school and support at home. With practical tools and simple visuals, parents learned how small daily actions could prepare children for success in the classroom. The campaign empowered families to feel capable of guiding their child’s educational journey and demonstrated how home practices build confidence and opportunity for lifelong learning. Launched nationally with UNICEF and the Ministry of Education, this ECCD Social Behavior Change package set a new standard for inclusive design in Cambodia.
